Thickets
            Gallery 1
This work sits somewhere between what is sensed and what is imagined. Both the familiar and the strange are embraced.
I seek organic line and forms which I can use as structure for my work. In this series they are found literally in thickets of cedar or
of mangrove.  The approach to colour, tone and paint handling, as well as the structural elements of the work, relate to questions of depth,
and what lies underneath, behind or beyond.
